We hope you can find everything you need here on our site.The Seminole County Healthy Start Coalition (SCHSC) is a non profit organization charged with the responsibility of development of a service delivery plan and strategic plan in the area of health and support services for pregnant women and children in Seminole County.
The Seminole County Healthy Start Coalition does not provide any direct services to Healthy Start Program participants. The Healthy Start Program Provider in Seminole County is the Seminole County Health Department. Some of the services they provide include:
· Pregnancy and Baby Care education
· Breastfeeding
· Childbirth Classes
· Counseling
· Help to stop smoking
· House calls by health professionals
· Nutrition education
· Referrals to other agencies
The Healthy Start system is the organization of activities and services within a community that supports and enhances the community’s ability to promote optimal health and developmental outcomes for all pregnant women and babies born in the state of Florida. More specifically, with in the community of Seminole County, FL.
